Writing Fiction-An introduction/Subtopia

Writing fiction:an introduction to the craft  by  Gary  Disher  www.Amazon.com books on kindle

This book is about the elements of fiction ,its changing nature and how to find ideas for your story.Regarding plotting the author states that traditional fiction, has faith in history and human perfectibility; innovative writers argue that the world is governed by chance, coincidence and chaos, and so their fiction may be devoid of values or themes, apparently inconsequential, and directionless. They write about characters who are free of history, with no origins or destinations, who don't learn, have insights, make decisions or resolve difficulties.
One strength of the book is its discussion of point of view, dialogue, setting and planning with concrete examples.
Dealing   with is writers block is an interesting chapter." All writers are ‘blocked’ from time to time. The reasons for it include a failure of nerve, domestic and personal upheavals, fear of rejection, boredom, insufficient preparation and miscalculating the scope of an idea. These last two reasons are probably the most common; certainly they account for why I’d been forced to abandon four novels over the years. What to do about it First, ask honestly of yourself why you stopped writing. Perhaps the project was beyond your writing capabilities, you were bored with it, or the emotional and physical stress was too harmful. Why persevere ?
Start a new, more absorbing or manageable project. Perhaps you haven’t prepared sufficiently. Put the manuscript aside and think more about it, carry out further research or write ‘around’ the topic until you find answers or a path out. If these don’t work start a new project; it could be that weeks, months, even years later you’ll find the solution you need, either subconsciously or through luck,"

Meanwhile, spending  time  at Subtopia  yesterday( Saturday,18  May),a  studio  located  at  Alby in  the  south  of  Stockholm  working  as  as  a  film  extra brought  me  into  contact  with  other  extras  from  countries  such as  Japan,Peru,Guinea  and  China;other new  people I met  were Lisa(wardrobe)  and  Peter(cameraman)
.Otherwise,I  have  a  lonely night  job  during  which  I  hardly  meet  anybody  except  an  occasional  homeless  person  or  so  sleeping  rough.
According,Lisa  who  selected me  for the  role the  factors  she   took  into  account  in  selecting  me  where presence, attractive appearance  and  my  African  costume.
